What happens in adverse weather conditions?+
Safety comes first. Sessions may be postponed or cancelled, and eligible school-cancelled lesson time is protected under our weather and refund policy.
How many days should I stay in Mayapo?+
Plan 1–2 days for the 4-hour course, 3–4 days for the 8-hour course and 4–5 days for the 12-hour course. An extra weather-flex day is recommended when possible.
What is included in the course-and-stay packages?+
Each package includes the stated private course hours, an IKO-certified instructor, equipment during lessons, IKO certification, walkie-talkie radio coaching, accommodation, breakfast, return transportation between Riohacha and Mayapo, course photos and videos, and local assistance. The exact inclusions are confirmed in writing before payment.
Are flights included in the packages?+
No. Flights, unlisted meals, alcoholic drinks, extra nights, companion costs and personal purchases are not included unless they are specifically confirmed in writing.
Which airport should I use for Mayapo?+
Use Riohacha's Almirante Padilla Airport (RCH). Search Avianca or LATAM from Bogotá, Medellín or Cali. SATENA also operates a direct Barranquilla–Riohacha service on selected days; always verify the current itinerary before purchasing.
What should I bring?+
Bring swimwear, a UV-protection shirt, reef-safe sunscreen, a towel, drinking water and comfortable clothes for the beach.

Yes. We coordinate accommodation only with Palaa Ecolodge, La Costa House and Talata Hostel. Availability, room category and final conditions are confirmed for your dates.

Can you help with transportation to Mayapo?+
Yes. You can reach Riohacha by air or travel with Expreso Brasilia from Santa Marta, Palomino or the Tayrona area. We can coordinate a private transfer from your Riohacha arrival point to Mayapo, normally approximately 45–60 minutes by road.
Where exactly are the lessons?+
KiteAdventure Colombia S.A.S. meets students at the Second Beach of Mayapo, Maliwala sector. Restaurante Sutsha Wayuu is the nearby arrival reference. The exact water training area may be adjusted according to the safest suitable conditions for your session.
